”_grau is a personal reflection on memories coming up during a car accident, where past events emerge, fuse, erode and finally vanish ethereally … various real sources where distorted, filtered and fitted into a sculptural structure to create not a plain abstract, but a very private snapshot of a whole life within its last seconds …”
Feels two-dimensional and three-dimensional at the same time. Pretty amazing.
I can’t bring myself to close this website. It’s been sitting open on my computer all morning, and the combination of slow-motion underwater video and ambient music is so beautiful and so hypnotic I can’t turn it off.
Whenever I hear people say they don’t like CG or they think it always looks fake, I think to myself, ‘you don’t like the CG that you’ve noticed.’
This reel from Stargate studios proves my point. CG is used all the time for mundane purposes where it’s next to impossible to spot, like making a street on a soundstage look longer, or adding a building into the background of a shot.
-1 for ugly Bank Gothic wordmark.
